If there’s a Wikipedia in this universe this company probably has a very long “controversies” section…

Three things this week:

1. Went to a festival yesterday, such an incredible lineup: Fever Ray! Arca! Aphex Twin! but the standout for me was Sudan Archives, so much talent. her album from last year was one of my favorites.

2. Watched Gloria (1980) in the cinema. It felt more like a typical Hollywood film than Cassavetes' other works, but it's worth seeing for Gena Rowlands' excellent gangster talk.

3. Currently reading "Secret Rendezvous" by Kōbō Abe. So far the book has featured, among other things, perverted doctors, a man who thinks he's a horse, and several other odd characters.
