Feels like summer is over, but you never know these days! If you missed the beginning you can get started reading here

Got a full-page spread this time, and after some character introductions and world-building, we are back together with our main character!

For this page, I wanted to push my background drawing a bit. In order to get the perspective right on this hexagon-shaped dome I used 3D software (Google SketchUp! Don’t judge me it’s the only thing I know…)

I built a basic shape in SketchUp, then positioned the shape in the perspective I wanted, and then sketched the rest of the environment around it:

It’s a bit hacky but it did the job! Please if any architects are reading this avert your eyes.

Three things this week:

1. Enjoying the new Devendra Banhart album, The single Twin is a slow and cool post-punk jam

2. Caught up on some movies this week, rating in the form of emoji: Past Lives (😭) Bottoms (😂) Elemental (🫤) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayham (🤩)

3. Currently reading: The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick. I read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? a while ago and remember enjoying it a lot, this one feels more mature. Missing a bit of the humor from Androids though.
